In general ,especially for frictionless ones it is true that most red long pips are more effective than the black ones.I also don't know why.But there are exceptions ,for example as far as I remember Dr Neubauer black Roulette is more effective than the red one.And one point more ,as all we know Super Block and all the other frictionless long pips were banned by ITTF a year ago.
