hey newbie. touch the rubber with your finger. if it feels sticky, its tacky. grippy would be when you try sliding your finger on the rubber and encounter resistance i guess. the degree of spin would be hard to measure and put into numbers. i would prefer non tacky rubbers. it takes a bit of speed of the ball cos its sticky so i usually use softer sponges to generate more spin. currently bryce fx on fh and g2 fx on bh. hope this helps
