Joola makes a specific product for this purpose "Joola blade sealing varnish". I suspect it is the same as any varnish you would purchase at a hardware store. In the past I have used varnish, and polyurethane to good effect. WARNING! This can significantly change the playing characteristics of your bat, especially if several coats are applied. When using varnish or polyurethane, I use 1 thin coat. The more coats you apply the faster your blade will become.
