The s40, at least in Max, is very very soft...to the point of mushy. I wouldn't use it unless I was going to glue, or it will be slower than the 7 year itch. Even glued, it's great for looping, terrible for smashing or flathitting. If your game is looping for topspin this is the one.

If I was going for a donic unglued I'd go with coppa tagora.

I haven't tried the new sonex stuff yet.
