If you want to be able to shop hard topspin well longpips are a very good choice!

The best Spin reversal you get with the neubauers and hallmarks (the anti treated ones).

If you want to be able to do your own spin you can use short pips.

If you're used to inverted its easier to try short pips. The longpips is a lot different so it takes some time to get used to playing with it.
