Well, whether they're on an orange donic sponge or an esn sponge, the sponge is harder and heavier than their previous german sponge counterparts. That is to say, 40s and 40h used to come on really nice, soft donic orange sponges. Then they started using crap sponges. Sometimes I swear that they just took the old hard orange friendship sponge and stamped "friendship german sponge" on it.

Similarly, the faster on esn used to be on a nice, 40deg esn. Then new sp and 40s and such on esn has a harder, heavier sponge on it that's fast, but not the same feel.

My advice is theirs lots of better stuff out there than those.
