Well, spinnier (stickier or softer) rubbers are easier to catch and lift the ball with. However less spinny rubbers don't take on the incoming spin as much. So it depends on how good your technique is. If your loop stroke is faster than the backspin you're better off with softer rubber. If not you're better off with something less spinny and you just hit through the ball at the top of the bounce, aka short pips. |
