The Cream/MRS does take a bit of breaking in, but nothing crazy. When I get a new sheet, I put at least two, and preferebly three of four, applications of thinned (with Besting) glue. After it is well primed, I will speed glue it moderately and play with it a few times. After playing a couple hours (this can take me a few days) it usually softens up, speeds up a bit, and loses a bit of the excess stickiness. From then on, I usually just fix glue it and forget it - it plays better fix-glued than anything else I am currently using. When I want more juice, I'll apply speed glue or booster before playing. I have a mixture of about 80% Bestine thinner and 20% d-limonene that I have been using for a booster. It works pretty well and is fairly cheap too... bes |
