looping? I would still prefer to smash/kill anything as a finishing shot over looping... that is a more traditional third ball attack, but if you must loop (since the ball is off the table anyway): contact the ball as it falls a bit (a bit past peak), but instead of looping up (with a lifting/vertical swing), you want to have a more forward weight transfer and swing more through so that your blade finishes in front and above your head. try to keep your loopkill/loopdrive return lower and closer to the net: you don't want to contact too low on the fall or loop too high because all that vertical motion is reducing the amount of energy in the horizontal direction. |
