Manny, my experiences with FX-EL are very similar to your own -- which is why I don't use it any more. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that for me the FX-EL plays almost identically to short pips. Speedy rather than spinny, good for blocking, hitting, and returning serves (as long as you can live with not being able to put much spin on your pushes).

If I'm not mistaken, Bes and Cole both feel FX-EL is good for looping. But for me, it wouldn't "arc." So shots went straight into the net or straight off the table.

I'm pretty sure Bes and Cole speedglued theirs. I did not. I just lost too many games with the stuff to mess with it any more. Hands down, this is my single least favorite rubber (well, next to Stiga Destroyer).
