I have tried multiple Chinese rubbers trying to find one I can play with without speed glue. A sheet of Max Red XuShaoFa on red sponge did play pretty well without any treatment but it was short on power when I was force into an away from the table power looping rally. Because of this, I think I will need to go to a built-in speed glue or spring sponge type (Tenergy) rubber until the Chinese are able to make faster sponges. My ideal would be a stiffer Tenergy sponge with a Chinese (Hurricane or XuShaoFa)topsheet!! Equipment will be very interesting to watch for a while, but it may not be as fun as playing with a corked up bat!!! |
