The following message (subject: soft = slow, hard = fast ?) was posted by db, on 1/4/2006 6:45:04 PM:
Dear Megaspinners, To what extent is it true (if at all) that "soft feeling" blades are slower than "hard feeling" blades? Is it true that soft means the blade is more flexible? Is there such a thing as a soft and fast blade or hard and slow blade?

Also is soft to be equated with more control and hard with less control?

In other words, to what extent are these equations true:

soft = slow = more control and less speed

hard = fast = more speed and less control

Thanks in advance for your hard earned wisdom.
