The following message (subject: 755 0.6mm vs 837 OX) was posted by Alex, on 8/21/2005 4:55:34 PM:
These are the two I've tried and found the following:
1. Blocking - much easier with 755, comes off hard, fast and flat.
2. Lifting chops - much easier with the 755 and much faster.
3. Deception - people seemed to find the 837 to produce more wobble and awkward balls.
4. Chopping against loops away from table - both good and easy to control. 755 probably produces more spin reversal. Can also hit with the 755 away from table, which I could not do with the 837.
Note: Some of these differences may well be due to the fact that the 755 had sponge, and the 837 did not.
If anyone wants more details please Email me (haggisv at internode dot on dot net, remove obvious parts). I didn't want to make this too extensive since I'm not sure if anyone is interested in this.
Cheers,
Alex...
