Minimize Your Stroke

A common trend for most players is having strokes too big for their own good. Players tend to have either too much of a back swing or too big of a follow through at the end. This is not a very efficient way of playing. With how fast the game is now days, it is even more critical to play with smaller and shorter strokes. Just because one has a larger stroke does not necessarily equate to a large amount of power exerted. Whether you're a mid range looper, close to the table hitter, or even a defense chopper, the key is to learn to play a quick and compact game, no matter what style you have. Again, it's not about exerting power through only the arm, it is learning to play with your entire body (reference to my 1st tip).
