Would be a nice addition to your care kit. Nothing special. Just a regular sponge that does its job but quite expensive.

Sponge works alright, but they no longer make it like the photo indicates, this needs to be update. Sponge also starts to deteriorate quickly. Wouldn't recommend.
Butterfly products are usually top tier. They really slacked off on this one.

Don't waste your money on this sponge. It doesn't absorb water at all and cannot clean the rubber properly.
Pros: Helps clean paddle well.
Cons: Gets a little dirty even if you clean the sponge after every use.
Final words: I like it just because it gets the job done. And remember, yellow side is for cleaning the paddle, blue is for soaking up extra liquid.

Pretty decent product. I use this with distilled water in a mini spray bottle to clean my paddle and I always wrap the rubber with kitchen plastic wrap after I'm done. It stays in better shape for longer than when I used to use actual rubber cleaner solution. I now only use the cleaner solution if I accidentally get something on it like too much skin oil that the distilled water can't quite remove.
I think the other reviewer might have misunderstood how to use this sponge. You're using the water/cleaner to raise the surface dust/grit off of the rubber surface. The yellow side smears this liquid around the surface to pick up the filth. Then you use the blue side like a squeegee to remove the water with the suspended dirt. You CAN and SHOULD wash these sponges periodically to extend their life. Trapped dirt is an abrasive that will wear down your rubber.

I do not suggest wasting money on this product. It's inferior to an ordinary dish sponge. Merely smears dirt around, and does not absorb liquid as well as a sponge, so your dry-time is longer
