An excellent rubber, my current fh And bh. It is very close to a Tenergy 80, and 05. Speed is about equal to 05, and spin is between the 80 and 05.
I use it 2.0 thickness on backhand. 45 degrees sponge, medium hard topsheet, this rubber is special, it gives feeling, dwell and enough power to finish the point: on backhand is critical to have both feeling and power, of course if you use your backhand attacking, as I do. Given the very high throw, open against backspin is easy, but on the other side if you push you must be careful as the ball can easily go long. Also when you topspin your bat angle is critical. Once you have mastered the rubber, M2 is one of the best rubbers on backhand. UPDATE: I had to switch to another rubber on BH, the high arc was giving me troubles in controlling passive shots, I frequently went long on pushes and blocks.
Awesome rubber upgrade from Barracuda. I use this on my backhand on a Yasaka Sweden Defensive blade. Fast and spinny rubbers are easier to control with flexible blades. I used this rubber on Carbospeed and it is a lot of work to control the ball in a fast game. With the defensive blade, the rubber is much more controllable and generate greater spin. I am almost graduating from this rubber and getting ready to updrade to M1 in my backhand. My forehand already uses M1.
Slower and softer than M1. God in counter hits and block. Prety ok when opening attack.
12/12/2017-Tried the red rubber(FH) on Stiga Offensive Classic.I must say it loops magically, very good arc and spin.Brilliant control.A loopers dream rubber. No lightening fast, but decent speed.I felt serves were the strongest point when I used it.I could serve very spinny and short, occasional fast serve resulted in an ace(so not a slow rubber).Update 17 Nov,2019:Very good+durable.Geat pushes(too spinny and low),chops,blocks,serves-now using on force pro-Black:good match
Blade: Donic Waldner Senso Carbon
FH: XIOM Vega Pro (MAX)
BH: Donic Bluefire M2 (2.0)
Preferred playstyle: half distance Looper (mainly FH wing)
Switched from an andro Impuls Powersponge (2.0) due to insufficient drive when operating at half distance. Backhand looping with the M2 feels like I'm 100% in control because it allows me to play all the top spin variations I like. The naturally high throw arc also allows for seemingly unimpressive medium-rise balls with lots of spin, yet I feel like I can pinpoint every shot regardless of incoming rotation. Since I'm a bit impatient I often return a serve on my backhand with a flip/loop which works pretty good with this rubber. Chopping and overall defensive play is alright but there are definitely better rubbers for that kind of game. Stick to the loop!
The blue sponge is only a gimmick of course, and doesn't serve any real purpose other than to lure people in with an exotic colour.

I have been using this as my backhand rubber for the past two and a half months on my Butterfly Primorac Carbon blade....as mentioned in the ratings this rubber isnt much tacky making it much less sensitive against incomming spin and easier to control but still it produces a lot of spin on my strokes which i think might because of its soft sponze...flicks are super easy with a lot of spin...after 8 to 10 hours of practice every week for two months its still as new as 1st day...just clean the rubber after every session and it will last long...it can be considered as good FH rubber too since it can generate a lot of spin though speed isnt too high...anyone who like to play close to mid distance and controlled spinny shorts will find this rubber good for them...
I upgraded from M3 to M2, I have used it on both sides, I also boosted one of them, and used one unboosted too.
There where some comparisons on other sites with T05. Well I only can confirm that the speed is similar, and the spin in loops (counter, openig, normal) are similar too. But I don't personally think that this rubber is a Tenergy substitute.
M2 has a bit lower throw than M3 but still higher than T05. It seems to be less springy. Smashes and hits are way better then T05, the rubber feels more controlled because the longer dwell time. This rubber is a very good rubber for attacking game from ALL+-to OFF characteristics. The sheet works well on spin elastic to hard blades. On harder blades it feels a bit more mushy. Boosting this rubber can give more speed, springiness and spin, but out of the package it contains a factory tuning. Also there is a slight loss in control if you boost. The red topsheet is chemically a bit less stable, so after 200 hours the rubber topsheet degrades and dissolves/melts. This process is speeded up by booostering, hand swet and hard repetivite pressures on the same spot of the rubber. The black topsheets last longer. So note that if you boost this rubber and you are a swetty person this rubber will last only 6 months in red colour. Unboosted black rubbers can be with you for 300 hours!

Hi, this is a very good table tennis rubber.
I used it for my backhand and it is very effective. It has a good spin. The only dark side or part is that it shrink A LOT!! i mean it REALTY. I used it for 5 months and now it has shrunk 5mm or 3mm on each edges. I recommend this to player who is vey experience to use this as it can shrink if you accidently remove the rubber form your blade during the match. That is how it happen to me!

Great rubber definitely, fast, spinny, and control is not among the main advantages, but nice. I like Tenergy 05, and I don't think it can be compared with BF M2, as playing style is different. M2 is amazing for heavy spins and looping, far from table, mid distance....but for chops might be a little hard to control, even on pushes you can notice how hard can be to push short ball just over the net. I like playing with it from time to time, or train looping and heavy spins, one of the best rubbers in that area (I didn't try BTY Hard rubber versions jet). I'm using it on TSP Euro off blade, maybe slower blade can improve control.
A medium sponge with a hardness of 45 that with a great balance of speed, spin, and control between M1 and M3.
This rubber catapult effect is just 2 much 2 handle. Spin is great and arc is awesome, but it is really hard to control. Topsheet is 2 hard to penetrate for slow hits in my opinion. M3 didn't have that much catapult and allowed for better BH flick, but deformed more on hard hits, so the ball wasn't very direct. Sponge is 2 springy. Where this rubber does really well is mid distance from the table, you can brush the ball with short movement and the arc is truly comical, it can bend really hard, especially if you hit it fast. I wasn't able to control it in a short game at all it bounces 2 much forward, or upward on underspin shots. Even on backhand which requires faster rubber I wasn't able to control it well and I am using Tenergy 05 now and I find it way easier to control. Rubber also shrinks a lot, which makes it harder, especially topsheet. Some people recommend this rubber for its "dwell time", but I have to say I couldn't feel it. Xiom Vega Europe to me has much more dwell on Backhand. When it comes to blocking it was doing suprisingly well.
Not very controlled as catapult is huge and spin is average. You cant hit it very hard as the rubber bottoms out quite early.
The rubber shrinks a lot when you reglue it. Great speed and decent spin. It's the balanced version of bluefire series (not very fast and not very spinny). Can't say about durability as I got them recently for both sides with tibhar samsonov force pro blade. Will take some time to control its speed of you haven't used fast rubbers before.
Opening ups with this rubber is so strong but you have to be perfect with your angle otherwise youd put the ball in the orbit, smashing like a thunder, spins like T05 and the control is excellent if your rating is above 1800. Pushing makes a lot of problem to your opponents. Looping is so easy.
WOW!
Tested on a viscaria blade in 2.0 thickness both sides. Almost as spinny as tenergy 05 but more linear which results in more control (for my playstyle). The sound of this rubber on viscaria blade is absolutely astonishing! It just wants you to hit even harder to make it even louder. BH/FH rubber ala carte. Absolutely a must try for intermediate players. It wont let you down. When my t05 sheets are worn out I'll defenatly buy theese.

Porous blue sponge, high catapult effect, ball shrinks into it. The 2.0 mm makes it much more controllable and the blade's characteristics shine with this thickness. This is a BH rubber all the way. Too soft for FH instead you play with really stiff carbon blade. Banana flicks, backspins, high arc loop, blocks, sidespins, every shot, I mean every backhand shot is a bliss with Bluefire M2 2.0 mm.
That being said, I found out if you are on a low budget, you could go with Palio AK47 Blue which behaves similarly to this beauty but for 8 bucks.
Enjoy!

This rubber continues to amaze me even after 6 months of continuous use. SPIN is very good comparable to Tenergy 05. Speed is good 9/10 but control is 10/10. Just brushing or looping easily u can clear the net due to its high throw when compared to Tibhar Mx-p. I feel this rubber did not get its due. It is almost comparable to Tenergy or Tibhar Mxp with very greater control.I am surprised by its duralibility.
Tons and tons of reviews about this rubber, I won't say anything new: one of the highest quality products you can get from the market for it's price, easily competing with Tenergy 05.
It's really really fast but not too fast, just the right amount.
The top sheet isn't too tacky but isn't completely dry either; for me, the best balance between the too.
Control is legendary at this speed. A bit sensitive to incoming spin, however, with enough feeling and training, you can master it's little secrets too.
The only difference between the Bluefire series is the sponge hardness. M1 has the hardest, M3 the softest sponge among them. M2 is the best balance between speed and control, 9/10, would use it on both FH and BH.

IMHO this rubber is better than the Tenergy 05. The M2 on my back hand provides better spin, speed, and control than the T05.
Excelent rubber. Very elastic sponge, with large pores.
Very fast and very spinny. Due to it's springiness it's hard to control on short game.
My sheet should have around 60 hours.. looks like worn off in the centre, but the spin is still there.
IMO, one of the best rubbers for it's price.
oh, i heard black sheets plays better than red ones. I have a black m2 and a red m3. I can tell the black one it's grippier, just that.

This rubber is fast, but I just don't like the topsheets. Its topsheet made me really struggle to generate a lot of spin with this rubber. For me, this rubber is more suitable for players who loves to play in a distance because I don't need too much effort to get the ball onto the table from far away. This rubber also very heavy. So if you don't like a heavy setup, I won't recommend you to use this rubber.
Very solid rubber for my bh.
Good for all: short play, chop, smash, block, topspin, flip. Fair price for this quality rubber.

This is my 3rd Forehand Rubber. Its absolutely superb, in terms of Spin & Speed. My game demands a bit of Speed (Still Playing with old Carbon Butterfly GERGELY) which is very stiff & hard ply, hence i generally go back from the table & play a very open game. Backhand is STIGA RADICAL, hence its jab & loop game.
Works wonderfully well, if you have wrist action, then even more so, hence i have been very successful with local TT spectrum. I am a veteran playing a competitive mens draw, & can give top seeded run for their money.

Excellent rubber.
Amaizing topspeen and high arc. Control really hood. Speed compaering ti acuda s2, the m2 y has noticiable less speed
For bh is not much usefull, seems need ti strocke .ote powerfull as usual.
For Fh i already said before, the tppsping os excelente bit quite slow than the s1 i used and also slower tan s2
The feel is that the m2 is more controlable than the s1 but you need to hit real±y more harder ti vive the same speed as the s2

I like the BlueFire M2 on my BH gives good speed and spin.. overall it's a good rubber and makes my BH powerful! its also does work really well during chops, blocking and drives!
very high throw rubber, medium-soft sponge (42.5), medium-hard topsheet. It makes very spinny loops. Its strong point is fh counterlooping: you close your eyes and counterloop always lands. But the drawback is it's very hard to powerloop against backspin. This is the rubber's weakness. Basically, you can only brush loop against backspin; if you try to powerloop , it will either go to net or off the table. Probably because the sponge is too soft. M1 does not have this problem. A rubber similar to M2 in hardness but without this problem is EL-P. So I would avoid M2 on forehand. It is also very hard to block with this rubber, due to the very high throw. You need to have a very closed blade angle and your block will have high arc.
This is very good rubber, similar than 2ndgen Baracuda, but less spin sensitivity, better control and consistency.
The tuning goes quickly, reducing the spin and arc, to be replaced.
This is seen in the lower durability value.
Speed glued performance is far better, but even faster tuner evaporation, but in this case you will not regret it. :)

Like Baracuda, it is one of few "really successfull" rubbers of Donic. It is the sweetspot among Bluefire series with amazing spin, high speed, good feel and control. It suits me better than Tenergy with higher control in every aspect of the game. Tenergy may have a higher top end spin but it requires a better stroke for many shots.
For me it is one of 3 Top Tensors ever produced.
PS: durability is not great, but the price justifies.

review: Donic Bluefire, max., black:
straight to the facts: the Bluefire m2 is heavier and produce a higher arc than the Acuda s2. on slow game it seems to produces a little bit more spin but in my point of view it cannot compete with the acuda s2 when you are doing topspins from middistance.
The feeling on my Donic Dotec Persson was horrible in the first times of playing but it was getting better after few hours. Anyway i personally have a much better feeling with the Acuda S2 on my blade. The Bluefire seems to be harder although they say it has a softer topsheet but so i think it is the sponge which make the difference.
the first topspins where flying over the table because of the higher arc but when you go away from the table the speed this rubber produce seem to be somehow limited. It has not the top gear which the acuda has. the spin it is producing seems to be similar to the Acuda S2. for me the only advantage when playing topspins with the bluefire is when you have to rescue a very low ball in front of you. lifting up these balls is quite easily - the acuda fails here. but in the end for topspin i prefer the acuda because of the better feeling and acceleration and the top gear when you are far away from the table or in topspin - counter topspin rallies.
when you play drives or smash the speed is good enough quite the same like the acuda. control when you are blocking a ball is quite good for a spin offensive rubber.
when it comes to choping i think it succeeds over the acuda. slightly slower and maybe slightly more backspin in this technique. flicking is also easy with this one.

good rubber with better control than the Baracuda but with less spin, I use the BH
After use 2 weeks on FH i have to say this rubber does everything well, good at spin also good at smashes, it's speed is not too much faster than my BH rubber Rakza 7 Soft, but more spiny and more consistent for FH attacks.
I chose M2 as a substitute for Acuda S2 on a j-pen set up looking for more hard hitting capability. IMO the S2 is for controlled spin-attacking game. And, yes the M2 being heavier and a little harder, is more suitable for more aggressive game. But both are very similar. Mine is a red 2.0 but the first time I played w/. it it felt like 2.5 glued rubber (?). Also compared to the Rasant (2.0) they are very similar in the attacking game but the M2 is more versatile playing small shots. The truth is that I haven't found anything "that" extraordinary about the M2 except it's a good all-around attacking rubber. By the way, I didn't find that chemical substance they say it has.
Slightly tacky rubber, however Bluefire allows you to make good spin strokes(I play with Bluefire on my BH).
Excellent catapult effect
Excellent catapult effect
Very good rubber, more spin than acuda s2,speed is about same, control is immense,at table its unbeliveble, but away from table its need more effort and strength... i am using it on FH

its good for players that have been playing for two years or so has good speed close to the table but is not so good off the table spin is good and it is easy to generate spin on serves, pushes and topspin overall i thing its a great rubber for intermideate to advanced players if your going for somthing for close to the table attacking style i highly reccomend this rubber
M2 is pretty soft for a medium rubber. Alittle harder then Tenergy 05 fx alittle sofer then Tenergy 80. Im using it for a backhand . Its on a DHS hard / fast blade. Coming off Tenergy 05 its way different. The top rubber looks weird like someone sprayed WD40 or cooking oil . Feel the ball more, very spinny,as for speed its not bad. Im trying to break away for Tenergy but the 80 is best for my game.I'll give this M2 a few weeks or a month if not its time to break my piggy bank and buy me a Tenergy 80 !
