I certainly overrated this rubber in the past, spin is not that great and spin(compared to others), but control is. It would be good rubber to start with on BH in my opinion, it performed really well compared to anything else I've tried. If you can't handle XIOM Vega Euro as a beginner, give this one a try, its a little bit more direct and less flexy. If you can't handle Ten05FX bounce then try this. It doesn't produce as much spin as Bluefire M series, but it is way easier to use in my opinion. If you know how to hit the ball and have good control and you look for upgrade to this I would say Ten05FX is better.

Bh rubber 1.7 on a carbon blade, thank me later. Fantastic rubber one of the best from donic.
I instantly fell in love with this rubber the first time I used it. The sound, the feel, the arc, and most of all, the spin is just so magnificent, it makes me want to play table tennis even more. Therefore, I conclude that this rubber is by far one of the powerful rubbers, yet very easy to control.
Excellent rubber when new, good speed, tremendous spin and bite on the ball with relatively good control. Not much of the uncontrollable bounciness of most tensors. But starts to go bad fairly quickly and when it starts to go bad it gets unplayable very quickly.

On Wooden blades is a boring rubber, slow, ok for blocking, ofc good control, ok for BH. Low-Intermediate rubber. Nothing Special.
A sad version of Tenergy 05 FX.
A sad version of Tenergy 05 FX.
I use it in a stiga clipper wood... nice rubber... very controlled and not spin sensitive but i have some dead shots that i cant explain... maybe its good in a carbon blade but not good for all wood blade
All the reviews for this rubber are very accurate in here. I used 2 already and it is definitely a very good med. soft sponge new rubber. If you want it faster, go to JP01, durability is the only weak point but the price is not bad. Try it, you'll like it!
Another great rubber from Donic to address the Tenergy series. This rubber is a nice T05 FX substitute. Sponge hardness looks the same, but the springiness is a bit less, which makes this rubber a more controlled type of 05FX. Works well on flexible and hard blades. The rubber is very linear and the overall feedback and feeling is very good. Blocks are very low and short, but they go over the net. Service and chopping is very spinny, but not bouncy, so you can keep the ball low. Smashes and counterhits are precise and linear. Loops are satisfying, no matter what is your looping style. The spin of the loop can be easily controlled, this rubber has significant dwell time, but not very sensitive to incoming spin. So looping and counter looping is a very consistent. Opening loops are very spinny, no matter what ball you try to attack. Dur!
ability is an another question. The overall manufacturing and quality is high, but since the rubber is tacky, the question is, how long does the tacky surface last. I used 5 JP series rubbers and came to the same result. Nearly 30 hours of gameplay and the surface becomes worn and the tackiness is gone from your sweet-spot. After this the rubber is still functional, but your sweet-spot becomes less lethal weapon. But you may use the sheets for training, because they last a long time. But this why I went back to the M series, because their topsheet can handle 60 hours before the first sign of wearing.

i have tested jp03 2.0 red ( new) . vs my usual 1.9 tenergy 05 black ( 2 weeks old ) on the same OFF blade
jp03
- lower throw ,
-less sensitive to incoming spin , so better serve return and smash
-a bit softer
-easyer to make short service
-topsheet after 4 hours of play, already have oxidated finger mark .
- is slower, and less catapult compared to tenergy ( 8.8 speed here is overrated. is more like 8.5 speed )
-spin is also overrated . is less then t05. .less in slow strokes .. and much less on powerfull strokes
-topsheet not so gripy
-weight for 2.0 red - before cut 65g. after cut on off blade - 46 g . pretty heavy.
its a good BH rubber.

Fantastic rubber. I purchased for my BH but it ended up working better for my FH. All hard shots land with great spin and confidence. Superb control with excellent placement ability. Soft sponge but very bouncy. No lack of speed. Good feeling.
I liked it.
But I don't understand...
I play TT three times a week. And the JP03 has been worn in a month.
The durability of JP03 is so so low.

Bluefire JP 03 is a really different rubber to Bluefire M3.
03 has a softer, grippier topsheet than M3, but a slightly firmer sponge (the sponge pores are smaller and tighter than M3). 03 is less bouncy, more linear, lower throw, less reactive to spin. 03 is really easy to use and fits lots of different play styles. It isn't lightning fast, but has quite an elastic effect in higher gears so the speed and spin are there if you put effort in.
For me, M3 is an all-out offensive soft rubber, and you get best results if you avoid passive play. I still love it on my FH side. JP 03 is less focussed and can satisfy all sorts of needs, and is my go-to BH rubber these days. It might lack a bit of pace overall for some, but that is the only downside I can think of.

Lower throw than M3 and that's a good news for those who prefer that and find it hard to keep the ball on the table like me for example :-) As always and in any case I feel forced to soften it up it a bit with oil in order to make it awake from its original state and make it more dinamic. I use it in 1.8mm on BH of a Stiga Allround. FH M1 2.0mm. Nice combination.
Aery good BH rubber. Amazing block on hard carbon blade.
Also not that good on FH without booster.

Very versatile rubber for your BH. In my opinion, is better with a fiber/carbon or a hard blade, just good for wood blades.

Bluefire JP 03 is a big upgrade from bluefire M3. Both have similar sponge softness but the JP 03 topsheet grips better. The JP 03 also has a much better feel (not so squishy and feels harder when looping due to the rubber biting the ball). The JP 03 mates better with more blades than any other rubber I have tested (about 15 fast/spinny inverted rubber types with 11 mostly medium to hard blades).
The Donic Bluefire JP-03 (1.9mm, red) has a medium soft sponge, lightweight superball like rubber surface, and a gentle indentation when lightly pushed. When Heavy Top Spin balls are served and impacts the Bluefire JP-03 it allows the ball to impact the racket blade surface deadening just a bit, before the rubber surface then grips the ball gently before catapulting the ball away. When using a Chinese Penholder Grip with a Shakehand Grip racket blade with a Flared handle, the three fifths wrist motion (sort of like picking up a water bucket's handle in a hurry) produces a subtle Helical Spin with lateral ranging effects. In essence the ball seemingly goes where its aimed and then suddenly changes direction when it has loss all its energy in the spin making it near impossible for the Shakehand Grip Player to return the ball because by then the ball almost touches the table's white line edge! The rules says the ball must be returned after it has touch the other side of the table and then coming off the surface before the opposing player can legally "hit" the ball. When the ball is stroked with great force laterally the Bluefire JP-01 rubber surface allows the ball to "bite" deeply into its surface but releases the still spinning Heavy Top Spin ball without reversing its rotation and adding to its velocity. Therefore all incoming Heavy Top Spin balls become outgoing Under Spin balls! When the incoming ball is stroked using the wrist movement it becomes an Inverted Lateral Spin (another Corkscrew Spin).
The best defense is a good offense.
The best offense is great defense deception.
Remember the "Q-Ship" convoy defense of WW-I.
The simplest illusion in Table Tennis is a "High Speed Yo-Yo" when the ball does a very shallow dive expending all its forward energy with a helical spin and then changes direction like a Texas Sidewinder Snake at the last moment creating an impossible situation for the Shakehand Grip Player-- can not return any ball when it never reaches the opposing player's "assumed place" in space and time.
Compliments to Donic for engineering the best Lightweight Soft Medium Tacky rubber surface for the Offensive-Defensive Players.
