The new Rakza X is the latest addition to the popular and highly successful Rakza series of Yasaka rubbers. The top sheet is made of natural rubber, employing a new production method.

The result is a top surface with exceptional grip enabling both phenomenal spin and speed. These qualities reduce the margin for error. This top sheet is then combined with a harder Power Sponge. The resulting combination of a faster sponge and high grip top sheet enables you to place the ball accurately with a high degree of success.

RAKZA X yet another winning combination from Yasaka!

Yasaka rubbers are steeped in history dating back all the way to 1926. The flagship rubber for Yasaka has been the Mark V. Mark V burst onto the table tennis world stage in the 1970 and 1971 World Championships taking home victory in both competitions. The Mark V is still going strong today and other versions of the rubber have been produced through the following decades.

More recently Yasaka has developed Rakza rubbers which have taken innovation to another level. The shape of the pimples provides a strong balance between spin and speed. Rakza rubbers use Hybrid Energy to provide synergy between top sheet and sponge providing great elasticity for power and control.

Yasaka has many more rubbers in their product line as well. Yasaka rubbers are used by top professionals as well as players of all levels. Be like 2019 World Championship Silver Medalist Matias Falck and choose Yasaka rubbers.

Reviews Summary

✨ AI-generated summary of customer reviews.

Pros

  • The Yasaka Rakza X table tennis rubber is praised for its power, control, and effectiveness, particularly for offensive play. Users have noted that it allows for consistent smashing and looping, and creates a spin that opponents find difficult to return. It is also described as fast, powerful, and precise, making it easy to put on spin.
  • Many users have found the Yasaka Rakza X to be an upgrade from previous rubbers they have used, noting that it offers improved control in all areas, especially in blocks and loop exchanges. The high throw angle is appreciated as it allows the ball to pass high above the net and still land on the table. It is also recommended for players who have an all-round and controlled backhand.
  • Users have praised the Yasaka Rakza X for its grip and control, without compromising speed. It is described as a balanced and versatile rubber that is suitable for both forehand and backhand play. Despite being fairly heavy, users have found it to be grippy and comfortable to use, particularly for topspin and blocking. It is recommended for intermediate to advanced players.

Cons

  • Some users have found the Yasaka Rakza X to be heavier than other rubbers, which could potentially affect the overall weight of the blade. This could be a disadvantage for players who prefer a lighter setup. One user noted that the rubber, combined with another, made their blade weigh 200g.
  • A few users have noted that the Yasaka Rakza X has a lower throw than some other rubbers, such as the Rakza 7. This could potentially affect the trajectory and landing of the ball, and may require some adjustment for players who are used to a higher throw.
  • Some users have found the Yasaka Rakza X to be harder than expected, with one user comparing it to the Rakza Z, which has a sponge hardness of 50 degrees. This could potentially affect the feel and control of the rubber, and may require some adjustment for players who are used to a softer rubber.

I tested the black version 2.0 on Yasaka Sweden Extra wood. Dull sound, dead feeling, it slips at a sharper angle. It generates some kind of rotation. Rakza 7 is much better.

Used it with blade BTF Balsa Carbo X5 22 on BH and with Rakza 9 on FH. Playing style is close to table all-rounder
This is awesome rubber for my BH. It has good spin and control and as a result, it is not as fast as Rakza 9. Recently played with Rakza 7 ob BH. Rakza X more suits to my BH, maybe because of more control that rakza 7 has.
With this rubber the first loop is so easy to do and most of players say that this loop has a very high spin that is very difficult to block because ball is then going out of table (same for rakza 7 and 9), sometimes first loops are very fast. For top spins sometimes I want more speed, because when you 2 meters from the table it is hard to do nice and fast top spin.
As for the back spin and push plays - it is very comfortable.
As for the serves - I am rarely using my BH serves, but when I do that it seems that it has required spin

I have purchased this rubber for my backhand about 2 weeks ago and my first impression is how grippy this is. Previously, I've played with Rakza7soft. RakzaX is a balanced rubber, versatile, with great grip and control without compromising speed. The rubber is fairly heavy, combined with Rakza Z now my blade weights 200g. I am using max sponge for both rubbers on a Petr Korbel 5 ply all-wood. According to Yasaka, the sponge hardness is between 45-50 degrees, so this can depend from player to player, but mine feels pretty hard. I've been expecting it to be a little harder than the normal Rakza 7 but it is considerably harder. It is comparable to the Rakza Z which has a sponge hardness of 50 degrees. It may be due to the new topsheet Rakza X is using. Coming from Rakza 7 soft, it has taken me awhile to feel comfortable with my bh flick and receive/short game but nothing major, mainly because I've been used to the safeness the Rakza 7 soft offers whereas with the Rakza X I've had to be more aware, focused and also engage the sponge. In the short game, the rubber is feeling pretty good, doesn't really have that catapult effect softer rubbers have so you don't have to worry about the ball bouncing too high or too long. When I topspin with my bh, it feels great and pretty safe, even when picking low balls. It is quite noticeable how the rubber grips the ball instantly and overrides the opponent's spin. For blocking, the rubber has very good control, the ball doesn't bounce too high and has good speed. Overall, the most enjoyable part is the grip and how nice it feels when flicking or top spinning. The transition from Rakza 7 soft has been really smooth. I recommend this rubber for intermediate-advanced players on either fh or bh, it works great either way. As far as durability, I will update after several months.

I am testing a sheet of Rakza X Max in the backhand and so far I am totally satisfied with it. Comparing it to Rakza 7, which has always been my ideal BH rubber, RX shows same speed and spin, but control is improved in all areas, specially in blocks and loop exchanges. Its throw angle is very high, ball passes high above the net and still lands on the table. Blocking with it is a breeze, extremely easy to control direction and deep. I recommend it to players who have an allround and controlled backhand.

Wonderfull rubber. Very easy to use and huge control in all game kinds of shots. Not extremely fast, decent speed but very spinny when you brush the ball caorrectly. Allow insane spin at service while not very sensitive to the oponent spin, so relatively easy for service return. Terrible loop and top spin, efficient block and terriblly good in short game. Shoping is also easy and can be dangerously sharp with the medium to low throw angle. Its enormous control allows beginner to use it easily while advanced player can also benefit from its good speed and generous spin. A lot better than T05 (a little bit less speed, equal spin but so much more control). Don't understand why it is so underated.
