The setup sounds fine. Some companies will allow you to send your blade off to them, and they will fix your new rubbers to the blade and cut them for you. If you want to do it yourself, buy some regular table tennis glue, e.g Stiga Victory, Butterfly Basic Chack (NOT speed glue). Take one sheet, and put 2 or 3 layers of the glue on the first rubber, leaving a couple of mionutes inbetween each layer. Put a layer on the blade also. Then, roll the rubber onto the blade using a rolling pin (or in my case, a can of beer), eliminating all bubbles. Ive found the best way to get a good edge on the bat is a scalpel, or craft knife. This gives a very good finish. Then repeat for the other side. You may want to purchase some edging tape if you want it to beat even neater. Hope this helps Tim |
