The following message (subject: Re: PRAKTTISMATE 1) was posted by Larry, on 10/27/2009 2:16:00 PM:
I have had my machine for three years, this December. The mechanics are reasonably well designed and built, but requires some tweaking of the feed mechanism (feedback provide to Prakttismate) to make ball recycling repeatable. Electronics for motor speed control is very crude in terms technology, performance and construction. Point-to-point wiring of components inside control box looks more like 1940's technology. I threw out the controller and designed and built my own microprocessor based control system that is far-far superior in terms of speed and direction control, motor speed versus temperature independence, and practice session repeatability. I've been using my control system now for 2-years which makes a significant improvement in performance. If you are interested in updating your speed control system, send me an email at lefoltzer@dishmail.net. |
