In other words, Coeffecient of Restitution COR is the same as sponge dwell time and more dwell time in the racket's sponge is like a spring which uncoils at the end and generates more speed/momentum.. I would agree that sponge rackets are faster than hardbat. At least the ones i've used. If i hit a ball onto a static hardbat racket (nobody swinging it), it would not bounce as high as say a sponge racket. The sponge really does help to make it rebound faster. |
