The following message (subject: 729 higher 3 - glue problem) was posted by debraj, on 5/22/2007 3:17:41 PM:
Few days back i posted a positive review of 729 higher 3 jap sponge. But wanted to share that yesterday when i glued it for the first time and it was a nightmare. I used one layer of d limunene, and topped with one layer of low solvent (n-heptane) rubber cement. It was an huge bulge, and then whatever i touched flew off the table, chops became lobs, and topspins hit the face of my opponent with a ridicullously high throw angle. it's a 180 degree turn around from dream to nightmare. What did i do wrong? The reviews say i should glue it. i am 1700-1800 level player, using Hinoki carbon blade. |
