Surprisingly sharp and bold attack at close-to-table with IGNITO makes the blade a sniper of table tennis. It was a challenge to balance out this unique attack performance with Hinoki and Carbon while keeping the total weight low. ENERGY CARBON improved in energy efficiency greatly contributed to the final blade construction. Benefit of better energy efficiency from ENERGY CARBON influenced more due to its thinness of IGNITO as a result. Suitable for the fast attackers good at timing and perfect match with OMEGA and ZETA Asian series rubbers.

Reviews of XIOM Ignito (7)

Excellent blade without vibration. Moderately fast and controllable. The speed is tolerable, not very fast. Feels like off. Super control, linear rebound.

My first Xiom blade and here is my intermediate take on it. The blade weighed exactly 88 grams. Put Tibhar Evolution FX-P MAX on both sides including side tape and it took the blade weight to 184 grams (nice weight). Very nice compact blade that offers great speed as needed with nice control. Blocking and ball placement comes easy as long as proper technique is used. When powering the blade you definitely know it is a Hinoki, Carbon, and Kiri designed blade. The flared (concave) handle is perfect and well designed and sits in hand very comfortable (definitely not on the narrow and skinny side). Very impressed with the handle shape and construction. The handle lens shows off the top craftsmanship of this blade. Very pleased with the results the blade has given me knowing the rubber used can dictate the performance of a blade. As long as you like Kiso Hinoki topped blades this is a good one. A+++

With Vega Pro rubbers you can generate VERY good speed and spin. A little bit hard to control fast loops over the table but in other aspects it is definitely solid. Please notice that the throw angle is lower than the angle with limba/koto top-layer blades. But this make the blade even more dangerous. I previously played with galaxy T11+ wich is amazing with vega pro also, but too hard (low dwell time) for my level to generate power loops.

The only negative thing is flat-hitting high chops. It is much harder for me to finish that points, comparing to T11+ (piece of cake). But i think it is because personal technique problems.

Definitely recommended blade with Vega Pro series. (Strange that Xiom recommend Omega and Zeta)

The Xiom Ignito is an excellent offensive blade for players of all level. The shopkeeper warned me that this blade was a 'beginner' carbon, but I've seen a professional coach use this blade for competiton. My friend who uses the Timo Boll ALC liked this blade very much, and didn't really see the point of paying 70 dollars more for the ALC.
