FAQ: Does Megaspin sell Japan-made Butterfly blades?
Some Butterfly blades like Korbel and Grubba are produced in factories both in Europe and in Japan, so they exist in 2 variants. When a Japanese blade has a Europe-made version, we always carry the Japanese variant. Other blades like Butterfly Timo Boll Offensive are only made in China so we cannot carry a Japanese variant of these blades.
FAQ: Do Butterfly blades come pre-sealed?
All Butterfly blades come pre-sealed from the factory. There is no need to add blade sealing but you may if you require additional protection.
Professional racket assembly is offered on several racket combinations free of charge. Please add a blade and 2 rubber sheets to the shopping cart to activate the racket assembly option on your cart. For more details see Racket Assembly FAQ.
You may also select ready-made rackets and pre-selected combos from our rackets section.

Very good blade for allround spin atackers. First slow heavy topspin is incredible and often won points directly with it.Blocks are ok,because it is very flexible, serves are much better then all the blades i ve used(dhs long 5,innerforce alc, tibhar stratus power),but it lacks power at smashing and flat hits. However is an incredible blade for spin oriented players who play near the table.

I played with this blade for more than a year coming from previous Innerforce ZLF and I had Tenergy 05 on both sides. This is not a fast blade, it should be rated as All+ at best. It has great wood feeling but with the added big advantage of an enlarged sweet spot. You can really hit the ball with any part of the blade, something that really amazed me. Great blade for setting up your technique and learn to put in your effort where you want it, if you want to deliver huge amounts of spin it will help you but also if you want to control a fast ball or serve as spinny as you can. Recommended for agressive play close to the table, you will keep the ball hitting every time.

This is really one of the best for me. It has it all - extra power when need, tremendous control, outstanding spin. Throw is direct and low, very dangerous for opponents.

The speed rating here is far too low, as this blade is nearly as fast as my TBS. It just feels very different with limba and zylon and without carbon (I also know TBS is ALC). This blade has nice control but it definitely has an upper gear range that is not linear with lower input shots. It's not unmanageable but it's there and surprised me at times. 7.7 is a speed rating appropriate for Primorac, this should be 8.5. This blade with Tenergy 80 on both sides would be a lovely, balanced blade for an intermediate looking to move up while still being confident in shots or a controlled oriented vet with a not overly aggressive looping game. With Sriver/MarkV type linear rubbers, this blade would be fantastic all-rounders and newer players. Despite some pace, and some non-linear gears, control and touch are very ery nice for a composite blade. In sum very versatile, even though I prefer the relative crispness of IF ZLC (despite some people being afraid of ZLC pace, IF ZLC also has great control and the right amount of pace for OFF-/OFF playing)
Just checked the Butterfly website and the ZLF has the lowest of reaction rating for composite blades (except for, say, a defensive blade like innershield); however, they also classify it as "mid-fast", same as TBS, Viscaria, Boll ZLC, etc. This is correct IMO as it's not as far off the speed of ALC/ZLC blades as some other reviews seem to indicate

I play this frame with Sriver 1.9mm fore- and backhand. I like it a lot. Everybody has his own style and this combi is like a Swiss army ? for me. It' s not so speedy as ZLC with Tenergy but do we need speed? I want control, mechanical spin and some dwell time. As an all-round attacker I can assure you the ZLF is your friend.

Very slow but ok control. ZLF sometimes affects the shot in an inconsistent way. Better is Liu Shiwen ZLF which is faster and better in every part of the game as well as a little more solid and predictable.

Ratings for 88g. Innerforce Layer ZLF plays similarly to Timo Boll ZLF. Innerforce is a bit slower and softer, which is why I switched to it in order to get more control. I put Nittaku Hurricane Pro 3 Turbo on both sides in 1.6mm. You can generate a lot of spin. I see no need for a faster blade - the top gear is lightning fast with this rubber. The materials are Limba outer, Limba 2nd, ZLF 3rd and Ayous core. The blade is about 5.3mm thick. Have fun looping!

It's thin and slow. Wood feel, with considerable vibration. I put Dignics 80 on FH and Tenergy 05 on the BH side. Even I hit the ball very hard, my opponent could easily return. Good for control blocking but poor in smashing. Amazing in spinning and looping underspin. Planning to replace my BH rubber with LP.
